Hunter: You start with your weapon or tool lowered. Left mouse button will make you melee. You have to hold a button then left mouse button again to use your weapon or tool.

Gunslinger is definitely more of an average fps kind of control scheme, while for me Hunter feels correct for hunt. But repeating my statement from before I've been playing since the closed beta.
